If I see "import openai" in your GitHub anywhere, you're automatically disqualified. There is a profound lack of depth or introspection on the part of overly eager startupbros. I struck a nerve... What I don't approve of isn't simply OpenAI wrappers. It's especially those that do something I can get done already with one extra step on chatgpt plus. Even before the new updates. "I built a grammar checker with GPT-4" nets you a score of 0 from me.On twitter.com

Importantly, because of API costs, all the wrappers that become startups expect you to pay for their single tool. When in truth, it's just to cover API costs. I'm already paying every month for chatgpt which gives me GPT-4. If all your tool does is save me 20 extra seconds. Nope.Permalink On twitter.com
